Women nearing the age of 40, read this

Women nearing the age of 40 and above need to pay extra attention to their diet!

Want healthier skin?
Want strong bones?
Want to feel energized and focused?

Eggs are an affordable and super-nutritious protein, and can provide some health benefits if you enjoy them every day. They are packed with protein, vitamins and nutrients that help you feel full and fueled for whatever your day holds.

Your body makes vitamin D when your bare skin is exposed to the sun. Most people get at least some vitamin D this way. However, clouds, smog, old age, and having dark-colored skin reduce the amount of vitamin D your skin makes.

Try eating avocado, whole eggs, fatty fish, nuts, extra virgin olive oil, or full-fat dairy to improve Vitamin D absorption.

Vitamin B12 does a lot of good things for your body. It helps create your DNA and red blood cells, for example. It’s also needed to develop your central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord). And it helps keep your hair, nails, and skin healthy. Since vitamin B12 contains the mineral cobalt, it’s sometimes known as cobalamin.

Major changes happen post-natal, and even the nutritional needs and metabolism of the body change after the age of 40. Adding protein, especially egg protein, to the daily diet is one of the most important aspects of staying fit and healthy.

Eggs are a superfood, containing all the essential nutrients and vitamins, and they also have the highest bioavailability of protein.

At 40 and above, commonly experienced deficiencies include a lack of vitamin B12, B9, and vitamin D. Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep your body’s blood and nerve cells healthy and aids in the production of DNA, the genetic material in all of your cells.

Two eggs a day can provide the daily recommended intake of vitamin B12 and vitamin D.

PSA If you have dietary restrictions with eggs because of a cholesterol or heart disease issue, consult your physician
